This piece is a good example of the precision made work from one of the best millefiori paperweight  makers of the 20th century - Scottish artist Peter McDougall. The Star of David motif is composed of white complex “stardust” canes framed by a garland millefiori round the periphery set on an opaque blue ground. Made in a limited edition for Larry Selman.
