The torchwork can be applied to the surface or in a single layer under clear glass. More complex examples are built up in multiple layers of clear crystal and torchwork details - creating a compound and dimensional scene. This particular example was built up in three or four layers effectively creating up a complex and thriving underwater world featuring jellyfish, colorful coral, kelp, fish and crustaceans. The work is covered in a dichroic backed black overly and when displayed on light box(not included) the complexity and and depth glows against the dichroic back.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1125/5492/products/image_501afeb0-21ba-41eb-994c-71a3285c8a77.jpg?v=1611022981
https://www.thepaperweightcollection.com/fr/products/mayauel-ward-1997-compound-torchwork-tropical-coral-reef-by-night
