Marcus has a vision like non other. He has really begun to push the limits of borosilicate glass, a medium rarely seen in paperweights, and creating sculpture and style never before seen in the art of the paperweight. Utilizing techniques that are not possible in soft glass Marcus is able to create lacy floral bouquets, featuring a color palette that is both exotic and refreshing. The color in his bouquet series is achieved through a process called 'fuming' - a technique where gold or silver, in this case gold, is burned at the flame allowing the fumes to be absorbed by the molten glass - the effects are dazzling.
