Rare Pietro Bigaglia Art Glass Paperweight Complex Franchini Millefiori Scramble

Condition:  Excellent for age. Under close scrutiny two bruises are discovered around the outer circumference and a few other very minor marks to the upper surface. Expected shelf wear to the concave base with a tooled pontil scar. Please see photos and let us know if you need any additional assistance. 

Bigaglia is credited with making the first documented glass paperweights using bits of twist & latticino, aventurine, and Franchini millefiori & murrine. This example includes numerous three rose murrine canes, a central large partial section of a rose bush murrine, and several other complex Franchini cane sections scattered throughout. You will be hard pressed to find another Bigaglia - Don't let this one get away!
