Ro Purser – Noble Effort Murrini Display
An unusual and fascinating work by contemporary glass artist Ro Purser, offering a rare look into the creative process behind his celebrated Noble Effort marbles.
This display captures the final stage of preparation before the murrine are incorporated into a finished marble. Featuring nearly 500 individual pieces of colorful murrine, carefully arranged and fused together, the composition would ordinarily be picked up with a clear glass core and worked into a spherical marble.
Rather than completing the marble, Purser has preserved the intricate arrangement as a work of art in its own right, revealing the remarkable craftsmanship and complexity that go into creating his signature designs.
Presented in a display case, this distinctive piece offers collectors a unique opportunity to appreciate Purser's artistry from an entirely different perspective. Only a small number of these displays have been produced, making them an especially interesting addition to a collection of his work.
