A exceptional example of Loren's artistry featuring 11 detailed portraits of historical figures around a large center murrine depicting a quaint Italian piazza with a fountain surrounded by red tiled shops and other buildings and a lone woman gathering cloths off the line. The portrait murrine are framed by greek style key pattern borders and the setup rests over a gold aventurine ground.
