Condition: Numerous scratches and a couple small flea bites to the upper dome. Expected shelf wear to the tooled roughly polished concave base. Please see photos and let us know if you need any additional assistance. 

These early Chinese weights are unique in that they require skill in both traditional Chinese painting and glass works. The image is first painted in colored enamel glass on a disk then encased in glass. This detailed example features a large black gold fish in the foreground swimming amongst pond plants and yellow lotus blossoms or water lilies above.
