A very high quality Murano crown featuring well organized delicate filigree. While most modern Murano crown style paperweights have a solid core this example is hollow blown in the style of a 19th century crown - This I speaks to the quality of this piece. To top off the unusual quality of this work the hollow interior of the weight is lined with mercury, which is a very unusual and rare feature.
