Paul Stankard 1979 Flamework Pansies on Opaque Blue Ground

Dimensions: 3-1/8” diameter & 2-1/4” tall

Makers Mark: Signature cane embedded under the setup in the base and hand-inscribed to the base.

Condition: Near mint. Minimal shelf wear to the base.

A pleasing design from one of the most important studio glass artists of our time. This early example features a well balanced flamework composition with 3 detailed pansy blossoms, a swollen bud, and root system - reminiscent of a 19th century scientific study. The botanical sculpture is set hovering against an opaque blue ground.
