Peter McDougall Faceted Flamework Millefiori Petaled Flower on Transparent Blue Ground

Makers Mark: Signature cane included in the setup.

Peter McDougall was perhaps the first to utilize millefiori as petals in three dimensional flamework bouquets and single flowers like that seen here. The example features a single blossom flanked by three buds in various stages of maturity atop a leafy stem and set over a transparent blue ground. The ovoid shaped dome is finished with two levels of side faceting and a large top facet.
