A fantastical composition by Stephen Boehme, inspired by Alice in Wonderland and featuring an assortment of his intricately detailed Franchini-style murrine. The whimsical scene brings together Tweedledee and Tweedledum, colorful amanita mushrooms, a green skull crowned with fruit, and an array of finely detailed flowers. The elements are arranged over a mottled blue ground and backed by an elaborate electrum wigwag. A wonderful example of Boehme’s imaginative storytelling, technical precision, and mastery of the murrine medium.
