A very rare from George Sarfi, a Canadian artist, and pioneer in working borosilicate art glass. George developed and published the process used for making colored borosilicate glass and it is believed that in his short career as an artist he made approximately 150 paperweights. This is a superb example of one of his multi-petaled dahlias. The blossom rests over a mottled blue ground and it is finished with a silver fumed surface coating and 6+1 faceting.
